On a serious note

Christmas needs to be reverted back to what it truly stands for. This is a time for giving, not a time to be greedy and throw a fit if you get a gift you don't sit well with. Be thankful you got something, because many others are out there with nothing to call their own. Look past the gift and look at the reason for why the gift was bought. The gift was purchased because the person was thinking about you, loves you, or thinks well enough of you to buy it. Be thankful for this day, and be thankful in life period. So many people are quick to jump on board a car, and overlook the path its going to take down the long road of life. Live a life that people want to live. Be proud to be who you are, and be proud to be alive. Gifts are not supposed to just appear on Christmas, your birthday, or any other day you think your worthy enough to receive one. They are bought/made, and giving to you through the kindness of others. So don't look at that Christmas sweater from granny as something to stuff your closet or bottom drawer with, look at it with a sense of joy. You were being thought of when the gift was bought, and you should appreciate that. I wish everyone a wonderful holiday season, and lease be safe. I've already wrecked once this winter, wouldn't want that to happen to any of you.

  1. I agree, I spent a long time making a heart filled gift this season instead of buying one to show people I care. Also I have no job and have no money, but that is beside the point.

  2. Good words. I've really been enjoying Christmas over the past few years, since I've stopped doing the gifts thing except for maybe a few small ones from the heart. Just a time to be happy with people you care about.
